An Usher is on the front-line of ministry and sets teh tone for everything that happens before, during and after worship.An Usher is vitally important because they are among the first people the visiting worshipper has contact with. A guest will form an opinion about UBC based on this initial contact.
Ushers greet and welcome all worshippers, and faciliate their seating, direct collection of offerings, maintain order, assist worshippers whenever necessary, and maintain discreet communication with the pulpit and/or the pastor’s assistant during worship service as needed.
