Day 2: The Cry for Wisdom

Verse:
“O come, Thou Wisdom from on high,
And order all things far and nigh;
To us the path of knowledge show,
And cause us in her ways to go.”

Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in
all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Reflection:
In life’s uncertainties, we cry out for wisdom. Jesus, the Wisdom from on high,
not only orders all things but also shows us the path we should take. His
guidance brings clarity and purpose, dispelling confusion and aligning us with His
will.

The refrain reminds us to rejoice: “Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to
thee, O Israel.” Rejoicing in hope means trusting that God’s wisdom is available
to us. Even when the way forward seems unclear, we can celebrate that
Emmanuel—God with us—leads the way.

Prayer:
Jesus, You are the wisdom of God. Teach me to trust Your plan and follow the
path You set before me. Help me to rejoice in the hope of Your guidance and
presence in my life. Amen.
