The Song of Peace: The Peace that Surpasses All Understanding 3-Day Devotional
Day 1: Peace with God
Scripture: Romans 5:1 – “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Song Verse:
“Hark! The herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King;
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled.”
Devotional Thought:
True peace begins with being reconciled to God. To be reconciled means that the broken relationship between you and God caused by sin is restored. Through Jesus’ sacrifice, God offers forgiveness and welcomes you into His family. This reconciliation isn’t based on anything you can do—it’s a gift you receive by faith in Jesus. When you trust Him as your Savior, you are made right with God, and this peace forms the foundation for every other kind of peace.
Application:
1.Examine Your Heart: Reflect on areas of your life where you may have resisted God’s authority or tried to rely on your own strength.
2.Embrace Jesus’ Work: Acknowledge that reconciliation with God comes through faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection, not through your own efforts.
3.Deepen Your Connection: Build your relationship with God by spending time in prayer and Scripture, seeking to know Him more deeply.
Reflection Question: Have you trusted Jesus to restore your relationship with God? If so, how can you grow closer to Him today?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for sending Jesus to reconcile me to You. Help me trust in His work and live in the peace that comes from being part of Your family. Amen.
