3 Day Devotional: As If You Were There - Day 3

Scripture
“Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself.”
— Hebrews 13:3a (NLT)

Devotional Reflection
To remember as if you were there is a call to presence, not distance. Hebrews moves us beyond agreement into action—beyond sympathy into solidarity. Jesus Himself stood accused, bound, and treated as guilty, and He identifies with those who are incarcerated. Being “here” may look like writing, praying, supporting families, or helping people prepare for life after incarceration. The question Scripture leaves us with is not whether we agree, but whether we are willing to show up.

Prayer
Jesus, you were present with me when I needed grace. Show me how and where to be present for others, as if it were me. Amen.
