Day 2: Sacrificial Love—A Daily Choice

Scripture: Ephesians 5:25 (NLT)
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her."

Reflection for Married People:
Marriage requires daily sacrifice. Every act of forgiveness, patience, and understanding reflects Christ’s sacrificial love. Where can you “die to self” and prioritize your spouse’s needs over your own desires?

Reflection for Singles:
You don’t need to be married to practice sacrificial love. Whether through acts of kindness to
others, forgiveness, or letting go of pride, you are called to reflect Christ’s example. How can
you embody sacrificial love in your daily life?

Challenge:
For married individuals: Find a specific way to “die to self” today—whether through
forgiveness, humility, or a simple act of service.

For singles: Identify an area in your life where you can practice sacrificial love, such as serving
someone in need or letting go of resentment.

Prayer:
Lord, help us to love like Christ. Whether married or single, teach us to put others before
ourselves. Let sacrificial love guide our actions and bring healing to our relationships. Amen.
