3 Day Devotional: The Same Twelve Years - Day 1

Scripture
Mark 5:34 (ESV)
“And he said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.’”

Devotional
Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’ dying daughter when a woman interrupted the journey. For twelve years she had been bleeding—isolated, exhausted, and defined by her condition. She pressed through the crowd believing that even touching His garment would be enough.

She was healed instantly. But Jesus stopped. Not because He lacked power—but because He wanted relationship. He called her “Daughter.” In one word, He restored what suffering had tried to erase.

He did not just fix her problem. He reclaimed her identity.

Jesus still stops for those others overlook. He still sees beyond labels. And He still calls His
people by relationship, not condition.

Where have you felt defined by your struggle instead of your identity in Christ?

Lord, thank You for seeing me fully. Restore the places where I have been renamed by pain.
