3 Day Devotional: The Same Twelve Years - Day 3

Day 3: The Same Twelve Years

Scripture
Mark 5:25-26, 42 (ESV)
“And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and who had
suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse”
“ 42  And immediately the girl got up and began walking (for she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.

Devotional
In Mark 5, one woman had suffered for twelve years, while a twelve-year-old girl lay lifeless in her home.

The same span of time produced joy in one life and suffering in another. For twelve years, one family celebrated birthdays while another woman endured doctor visits and growing
disappointment. Yet Jesus stepped into both stories without confusion or delay.

He is not managing one crisis at a time. He holds intersecting timelines in His hands. He stops in the crowd for the suffering woman, and He walks into the death room for the little girl.

Whether your twelve years have been full or draining, growing or depleting—He sees them. The seasons that strengthened you and the seasons that stretched you are not wasted. He is able not only to enter your story, but to redeem it.

Reflection
How have your “twelve years” shaped you? Where do you need Jesus to meet you now?

Prayer
Lord, You hold every season of my life. Meet me in my story and bring restoration.
