Day 2: When It Feels Too Late
Scripture
Mark 5:35-36 (ESV)
“While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler's house some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further? But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, ‘Do not fear, only believe.’”
Devotional
While Jesus was speaking to the woman, the message arrived: “Your daughter is dead.” It
sounded final. The delay seemed costly.
But Jesus kept walking.
He entered the house, removed the voices of unbelief, and took the girl by the hand. “Little girl, arise.” And life returned.
The woman reached for Jesus. The girl could not reach at all. Yet Jesus responded to both.
He is not intimidated by what others call final. He still walks into rooms where hope has already been pronounced dead.

What in your life feels beyond repair or too late?
Prayer
Jesus, give me courage to believe You even when circumstances say otherwise.
