SUPPLICATION from The Father's Perspective: 3 Day Devotional

Scripture: Luke 18:4–5 (NLT)
“The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”

Devotional Thought:
This woman’s cry met resistance. The judge ignored her—not once or twice, but for a while.
Delay in prayer can be discouraging. We cry out to God, and it seems like nothing happens. The heavens go quiet. The waiting gets heavy.

But Jesus reminds us: even an unjust judge eventually responded. God’s delay isn’t like human delay. He’s not ignoring us or growing tired of us. Sometimes He allows space to shape us. Delay can be part of our development—strengthening our trust and stretching our faith.

The challenge is to keep praying even when we don’t hear anything back. Supplication isn’t just about asking—it’s about enduring.

 How have you responded in seasons of unanswered prayer?
 What emotions come up when it feels like God is silent?
 Could the delay you're experiencing be part of how God is shaping your faith?

Prayer:
Father, You know how easily I grow weary when answers don’t come quickly. Help me to trust that Your timing is perfect, even when it stretches me. Give me patience and perseverance to keep coming to You, even in the silence. Amen.
