SUPPLICATION from The Father's Perspective: 3 Day Devotional

Scripture: Luke 18:6–8 (NLT)
“Then the Lord said, ‘Learn a lesson from this unjust judge.
Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?’”

Devotional Thought:
Jesus shifts the focus from the widow to the judge—not to praise the judge, but to contrast him with God. If a selfish, godless man can eventually do the right thing, how much more will a devoted Father respond to His children?

God is not like the judge. He doesn’t delay out of annoyance or indifference. He is near. He is attentive. He is faithful. His delays are never rooted in neglect, but in purpose. He hears every cry. He holds every tear. And when the time is right, He responds—not reluctantly, but with love.

You’re not pleading before a disinterested authority. You are crying out to a Father who is deeply committed to you. His heart is warm. His justice is sure. And His love never wavers.
Supplication is confirmed by the reality that God is far more devoted to us than we could ever be to Him.

Reflection Questions:
 Are you confident in His heart even when you can’t yet see His hand?
 What reassurance do you need today about God’s love and timing?

Prayer:
Father, thank You that You are nothing like the unjust judge. You are kind, just, and full of
compassion. I rest in Your devotion to me. Help me to trust Your heart and believe that You will act at the right time, for my good and Your glory. Amen.
