Scripture:
“Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.” — John 8:35 (NIV)
Reflection:
True freedom isn’t just about leaving bondage—it’s about stepping into your identity.
Jesus didn’t just rescue you from sin; He redefined who you are. You’re no longer a slave.
You’re a son. A daughter. A child of God.
This identity isn’t earned—it’s received.
God adopts us through grace, not performance.
Slaves live in fear, serve out of duty, and have no inheritance. But sons and daughters belong.
You are not defined by your past. You belong to God’s family!
Question:
Am I living like a slave—or as a child secure in my identity?
Prayer:
Father, remind me today that I am Yours. Let my choices and mindset reflect the truth of who You say I am.
