3 Day Devotional: Don't Forget to Say Thanks - Day 3

DAY 3 — Gratitude Evidenced in Worship

Scripture: 15 But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. 16 He fell facedown at his feet, thanking him. And he was a Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus said, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Didn’t any return to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And he told him, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith has saved you.” - Luke 17:15-19 CSB

Reflection:
On this Thanksgiving Day, we are reminded that true gratitude always leads us back to Jesus. The Samaritan didn’t just feel thankful—he expressed it through worship, falling at the feet of the One who changed his life. Thanksgiving is not only an emotion; it is a response that recognizes God as the Giver and the Source of all grace. The nine received healing, but the one who returned received wholeness—showing us that worship opens the door to deeper encounters with God. Gratitude becomes powerful when it moves from our lips to our posture, from our thoughts to our devotion. As we gather with family, friends, food, and fellowship, Jesus invites us to gather around His feet first. Today, may our thanksgiving move beyond blessings and become worship that honors the Savior who makes us whole.

Reflection Questions:
What is one specific way God has made me whole, not just blessed me?
How can I turn my Thanksgiving gratitude into genuine worship today?
What area of my life is Jesus inviting me to surrender at His feet?

Prayer:
Lord, on this Thanksgiving Day, I pause to worship You. Thank You for every blessing I can see and every mercy I’ve missed along the way. Draw my heart back to Your feet, where gratitude becomes worship and worship becomes transformation. Make me like the one who returned—loud in praise, low in posture, and full of faith. Today, I say not only “thank You,” but “I worship You.” Amen.
